Board Meetings and Community Events

We're looking forward to seeing you at back-to-school nights, theater events, and community potlucks! Our Family Inclusion Group is open to all Laurel Tree adults and is looking for ways to welcome and include you in our school.  Everyone is welcome to attend Board Meetings. The agendas and minutes can be found below.  If you would like to receive our weekly newsletter send a request to laureltree_lc@yahoo.com and we'll add you to our list.

Board Meetings

Meetings are generally on the third Thursday of the month.  Everyone is welcome and the public is invited to comment.  They are usually in person at the main site.  Agendas are sent out in the weekly newsletter, The Leaf, as well as posted at the office.

Whole School Events!

We come together as a whole community for events and activities several times a year!   This year's Whole School Events are:

Parent Workday on Sunday, August 9th at the McKinleyville site.

Apple Harvest Festival October 8 and 9

Theater Performances at the end of every quarter: 
October 22 and 23, January 14 and 15, March 25 and 26, June TBD. 
 
Last Day of School Picnic and Graduation June 10 

There is also a big Quarter Craze fundraiser in the Spring to benefit student travel and a Book Faire in the winter.   Families are invited to our school camping trips, Ashland trips, and to help us with our many field trips.

Back-to-School Night

This year our back-to-school night is Thursday, September 17th.  This is an opportunity for you to meet teachers, hear about the curriculum we're using and the big projects we have planned, as well as ask questions, and get connected with your teachers.   There is also a Board Meeting on this night!
